Dr. Charles Godswill Ibeawuchi was born to the family of the late Samuel Ibeawuchi, a Health Officer, and Mama Martha Ibeawuchi, of Nnachioma Umuariam, Obowo, Imo State, Nigeria. His early education began at St. Peter’s Primary School in Umuariam and continued at St. Paul’s Grammar School (Community Secondary School) in Alike and Government College Umuahia.
In 1977, he embarked on his university education at the University of Lagos, initially studying Physical Sciences before transitioning to Medicine. He then proceeded to the University of Nigeria (UNN), where he completed his medical training and graduated in June 1985 with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS).
Dr. Charles Ibeawuchi is happily married to Hon. Justice Edith Ibeawuchi, and they are blessed with children and grandchildren – Dr. Vine, Barr. David, Engr. John, Engr. Joseph, Arc. Paul, Micaiah, Olive. His family, faith, and passion for service are the pillars that guide his life and career. Outside of his professional life, Dr. Ibeawuchi is a Renaissance man and a polymath, constantly seeking knowledge and ways to improve the world around him.
